The Creyos test is a diagnostic screening tool that provides objective information to aid the assessment of ADD/ADHD. The test uses age and gender-matched comparisons to assess a child or adult’s ability to concentrate, their movement, and their impulsivity. The Creyos test is an essential part of the ADHD pathway, and the results are used in conjunction with other ADHD assessment tools to aid clinical judgement.

Preparing for the Creyos Health Assessment
To ensure your assessment results are as accurate as possible, here are several tips to be mindful of before and during the tasks. Reduce distractions.
Reduce distractions. Do your best to give your full attention to the tasks. Whether you’re at home or at the clinic, ensure that your surroundings are calm and quiet, and put your personal devices on silent mode.
Familiarize yourself with the tasks before starting. Complete the interactive tutorials to ensure you understand the rules of the task before you begin. If you feel you’ve missed something in the task instructions, or aren’t comfortable proceeding past the task tutorials, you can re-take the task tutorial until you’re ready.
Get comfortable. This is a task for your brain—it shouldn’t be hard on your body. Find an environment that is as comfortable as possible, and adjust your chair and screen so you are in the position that feels most natural.
Be consistent from task to task. Take the tasks in the same environment every time. Do your best to control for external variables, such as time of day and hours slept the night before. Unless your healthcare practitioner recommends specific changes to your daily routine, try to keep things consistent.
Don’t overthink it. Think of the assessment like having your blood pressure measured - in other words, it’s a measurement as opposed to a test. If you answer a few questions incorrectly during your assessment, that is to be expected. Don’t let it discourage you - keep going and try to maintain your focus throughout the duration of the assessment.
The total time for the testing session will be around 30 minutes. This includes the time for set-up, instructions, practice, and taking actual test.
During the test, do not leave the room. Sit through the entirety of test.
All phones, watches, and other electronics must be turned off stowed away in the exam room.
If you wear glasses or contact lens, please make sure to wear these during the test.
Take all medications prescribed. Do not take any recreational drugs before the test. Do not use THC or CBD products within 36 hours of the test.
The Creyos Test is not a stand-alone assessment and will not be the sole indicator of an ADHD diagnosis. It is a screening tool that gives your provider additional information to aid in the assessment of ADHD. Your provider will look at the full picture in order to determine a diagnosis. This test can also help determine medication response when compare to baseline test performance.
Why test for ADHD?
Adding objective ADHD technology can help to:
1. Improve accuracy of diagnosis
2. Shorten time to diagnosis
3. Capture treatment response not reflected accurately by rating scales
When will I receive my results?
The raw data is available immediately after the test is completed. However, your clinician must first interpret the data together with other relevant information. In some cases, feedback can be provided in the same appointment, but sometimes a follow-up appointment will need to be scheduled.
